What is Dual Language Immersion?
|
In Dual Language Immersion, students in TK - 4th grade spend half the day learning in English and half the day learning in Spanish. Every year, the program will expand to include another grade until the whole school participates in DLI. Not only do students gain mastery of both languages, but they also learn subjects such as math, science, social studies and religion in the process. By taking advantage of learning both languages early, our students will gain better language proficiency, literacy, cultural appreciation, and communication skills. We integrate bilingual education, individualized private school setting, and well-rounded values-based teaching. At St. Bernard, your child will have the best Dual Language Immersion education possible, helping to develop skills that will serve them into adulthood!
