In choosing a private education for your child, you have some important decisions to make. St. Bernard School believes that no family should be denied a quality Catholic education because of financial reasons, and therefore about 65% of families are offered some tuition assistance.
A tuition assistance scholarship fund has been established for the sole purpose of assisting any student who meets the criteria of financial need as set up by the scholarship guidelines. Families who would like to apply for financial assistance from CEF, The St. Bernard School Foundation or the Parish must fill out the financial form provided by CEF, along with the appropriate documentation before being considered for any assistance. No assistance will be awarded to families without the required paper work on file with the principal.
The Catholic Education Foundation
The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) was established in 1987 to ensure that underserved children in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles would have access to a Catholic school education.
All students are able to apply for the need-based Tuition Award Program offered by CEF. Each eligible student who applies may be chosen to receive a $1,000 annual scholarship. A limited number of families are chosen each year by CEF.
